Miss Canine Hoe – Septem Peccata Mortalia +

Mytyl Sheena from Japan started Miss Canine Hoe with Elly Sheena in 2021. They have been taking a personal journey in search of sound and developing sonic experiments since then. Second Life, one of the metaverse, is the base of their activities.

The title “Septem Peccata Mortalia” is Latin for “seven deadly sins”. Both Mytyl and Elly were fond of the concept of the seven deadly sins, having read Dante’s “The Divine Comedy” and watched the movie “Seven”, both of which were based on the same concept.

Just before the album was finished, they were offered their first live performance. They came up with the idea of including a bonus track that would only be completed by playing it live. Mytyl had been thinking for a long time that the one thing that could be added to the list of the seven deadly sins would be “indifference”.

Indifferentia (Latin for “indifference”) was performed live and recorded in Osaka in 2023 and became a bonus track of this album.
