Lucus – Vectorising

„Vectorising is a 2-track project of kickless music exploring my loop process in a drone-way-influenced style. For each track, I have duplicated 3 times the same loop (but in different ways) with which I try to create as much variation as possible, plus one loop that I add to bring variation from the outside. The loops used here all come from an accordion.

This is a way to explore that there is no signification in itself and that elements of a language do not have to correspond to real things to be part of fictions. It is a continuous play of reproduction of the non-identical, of mixing, reassembling, cutting, blurring – no original is needed for the emergence of meaning because meaning just needs a source from which it flows out. And to say it so is of course part of the fictioning process of this meaning too.

I made these tracks to be listened to at a high volume. I tried to listen to them driving on the highway, and it was quite appropriate.“ Lucus
