Exosoma – Microenvironments
Exosoma is an experimental music project born inside a biomedical research laboratory. Scientific experience, textures, mental landscapes, and complex datasets are transformed into compositions using analog instruments and electronic music devices. Under ambient and drone musical languages, Exosoma is searching for an effective way to connect two separate realms of human expression that have been staying apart for too long. This exploration focuses on the fusion of technical precision and emotional expression, inside and outside of human emotion.
Microenvironment, Exosoma´s first release, presents seven compositions rooted in real scientific research, inspired, influenced, and modulated by specific questions. How does life overcome barriers to communication? What are the consequences of misunderstanding? Are the beginning and the end real? How important are whispers in a world of screams and shouts? Are processes unidirectional once they reach a turning point? Is it all a matter of perspective?
Created in NYC, the Exosoma project resides in Spain.
